Enjoying a read outside with my borrowed library books

It’s been around 14 years since I’ve borrowed a book from a public library.

I spent most of my high-school and almost all my university years in one studying like every day was a final exam.   I even smuggled mashed potato to eat in secret so I wouldn’t lose my seat.  I hated it.

When I finished school, I couldn’t read books for fun anymore.  My eyes kept skimming the words and I was missing so much I had to re-read pages over.   In frustration I gave up trying to read for fun.

Green Smoothies

It all began when I was looking for a way to be less tired.  I was yawning from morning until night and my brain was fuzzy.

A year prior I had tried Dr. Joshi’s 21 day cleanse.  I got a minute energy improvement, lost 2lbs (which is very difficult for me to do), and it changed my palate.  I didn’t crave for carbs and fried foods like I did before.  I could say no. Despite that it was hard to follow.  It did though, get me interested in food and the role it plays in our physical and mental health.
